This is Koraibashi Bridge and Yahatamachi as photographed by Beato around 1864. The residence of Hikoma Ueno is located a little up stream from here on the left. The white warehouse on the right is the residence of the painter, Kinoshita Itsu'un. Itsu'un was the guarantor of Ueno Hikoma when he became an apprentice of Hirose Tanso of Hita. -6164-
