Dr. Bauduin quit the head teacher position at Seitokukan in November, 1866, and headed for Edo with Dr. Gratama. This is a group shot taken with his students on the premises of Daitokuji Temple near Seitokukan before his departure. Consul Bauduin is sitting on the stone pavement in the center. Dr. Bauduin, the guest of honor, is standing on the far right in order to direct his assistant regarding photo-taking. -6266-
