【Virtual exhibition】for the first time on the web

Of the more than 7,000 old photographs owned by Nagasaki University Library, these 451 photos are released for the first time on the Web site.  (Cabinet No. 127-134, 137-139)

JAPAN: Illingworth Album (Cabinet No. 127)
A photo album called Collotype, taken by Percy Illingworth (a member of British House of Commons, also an amateur photographer) in 1903 on his holiday.

This is a business card sized black-and-white photo album including photographs taken in early Meiji era.

R. Stillfried Album (Cabinet No. 130)
This is a large photo album taken by Stilfried & Andersen Studios around 1885 in Japan.
