The temple built by the 5th Shogun Tsunayoshi in 1681 for his biological mother Keishoin. There are two gates to the temple, Shinrei Gate and Gokokuji Gate, but the photo shows the main hall and grounds from the Shinrei Gate. The middle gate and the tiles of the main hall roof can be seen in the rear of the stone steps.
