To the right of the Tamanoobashi built over the Haya River is the Motoyu (the present Kansuiro) and to the left is the Icinoyu. Both are long-established Japanese style hotels in Hakone. Tamanoobashi is now a grand bridge with national route no.1 running over it, but around 1878, it was a narrow wooden bridge. Many changes have taken place in shape since then.
