Looking down from the Motomachi Hyakudan (100 steps). In the foreground is Motomachi with the Yamashita Settlement on the other side of the Horikawa Waterway. Zotokuin Temple is visible on the right with next to its left the new Grand Hotel built in 1887. Panoramic photographs have often been taken since the end of Edo Period from the top of the Motomachi Hyakudan, which was a point of reference for the Yamashita Settlement.
