The cooks and waitresses are intentionally posing for this photograph believed to have been taken by Usui Shuzaburo, an apprentice to Shimooka Renjo. Ogiya Restaurant was also known for its expertise in cooking. Take-out Kamayaki Tamago (Pan Baked Egg Omelet) gained special popularity. This dish is famous to this day. Taken between 1877 and 1887 (second decade of the Meiji Period).
