The cedars along Nikko Highway were donated by Matsudaira Masatsuna on the 33rd anniversary of the death of Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. The building visible in the background probably stands near Oiwake Jizo. This area was beautiful at the time. The sky is visible between the trees. It is said that people could walk here by the light of the moon and stars.
