The Yasha Gate of the Daiyuin enshrining the tomb of Shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu is located in front of the Kara Gate, which is the entrance to the main temple. It faces in the direction of the Toshogu. It has statues of Yasha on both sides, and since it is covered by carvings of peonies done in brilliant colors, it is also called "Peony Gate ".
