Sumiyoshi Taisha is dedicated to both Kaijin Sanchu (deities of the sea) and the Empress Shinko, and has been worshipped from the old days as the Ichinomiya of Settsu. This arched bridge is called "Tamanohashi" and is one of the most famous spots in the shrine.
