Distant view of Shiraito Falls. Water wells up from the 20 meter-high lava bed which stretches for two hundred meters, and spills over as hundreds of "white threads" into the basin below. The water creates Shiba River and flows into Fuji River. These falls were designated as a National Scenic Spot in 1936.
