A sessha (sub-shrine), Wakamiya Shrine which is famous for its Onmatsuri festival, is located at southeast of Kasuga Taisha. This photo was taken at the shrine approach from the Nanmon Gate (South Gate) of Kasuga Taisha facing the northerly Wakamiya Shrine with Nanmon Gate in the background. Six standing mikos (shrine maidens) and one kneeling are seen in the approach. The photographer is the same person who took catalogue #4333 and the mikos are also the same.
