| This is a photograph of the Sanmon (Romon) gate of Sofukuji Temple taken between 1860 and 1870. The gate was reconstructed in "dragon palace gate" style. This is the outermost gate of the temple and consists of a central gate with two side doors. This type of gate is called "sanmon" (three gates). |
