There are many votive pictures of horses hanging on large pillar and heams of corridorin in the main building of Kiyomizudera Temple, including many to pray for the safety of maritime voyages and others donated by rich merchants. Hanging lanterns line the centre of the corridors, and pillars on the outside to the right have latticework and are pulled outwards.
