Located in the Higashiyama district of Kyoto, Tofukuji is one of the major Zen five temples of Kyoto. It is the head temple of the Tofukuji Branch of the Rinzai Sect. The Tsutenkyo is a corridor which connects the Buddha Hall and Founder's Hall, and the roof is seen in the center. The autumn colours are famous here and have been portrayed in "ukiyoe" by Hiroshige. A man sits on a mat in the trees to the fore.
